The short version
- The first SEO job for a chiropractor is a complete Google Business Profile with "Chiropractor" as the main category, because "chiropractor near me" is searched about 673,000 times a month in the US.
- Ask every patient for a Google review by text after the visit, not on a tablet at the front desk, since Google does not allow pressure to review while the customer is on the premises.
- Post your cash prices and the insurance you take, and explain that Medicare Part B only pays for spinal adjustments that correct a subluxation, because cost and coverage questions are searched thousands of times a month.
- Remove any claim that adjustments strengthen immunity or treat conditions you cannot back with good studies, because the FTC has sent warning letters to chiropractic clinics over exactly those claims.

What the search data tells chiropractors
Aranx compared this page's 13 selected searches. Use the counts to compare customer needs, then choose a topic that fits what you offer. National counts do not tell you how many customers you can reach in your own service area.
Compare searches from people ready to act
- chiropractor near me
- 673,000
- walk in chiropractor near me
- 14,800
- pediatric chiropractor near me
- 12,100
These are the largest reported action searches in this sample, measured as average monthly US searches. A larger count does not mean a page is easier to rank. Match the page to the customer's actual question and your ability to help.
Use seasonality to decide when to prepare
For "chiropractor near me", September 2025 had 673,000 searches. November 2025 had 550,000. The peak was 1.2 times the low. Compare this pattern with your own season and customer history before scheduling content.
Sources, method and limits
Prepared by Aranx. Search source: Google Ads search volume via DataForSEO, United States, August 2026. We rechecked all 416 distinct customer queries across the 30 playbooks on October 13, 2026. Location: United States. Language: English. Search partners are excluded.
This is an editorial sample, not a complete list or a survey of businesses. Google Ads counts are approximate and can group similar phrases. Ad prices vary by place, time and advertiser. They do not measure organic ranking difficulty or expected revenue.
The seasonal comparison divides the highest monthly count by the lowest in the series. The action-search comparison sorts the reported average monthly counts for searches labeled ready to act. These are Aranx calculations, not customer results.

Measure booked appointments over 90 days
Download the results worksheet from the planner. Record your baseline before changing anything. Track website search clicks, inquiries and booked appointments in separate columns.
Use Search Console for website search clicks. Record the source people report and the outcome you can confirm. A click count alone does not show whether more people chose your business.
Note changes to pages, ads, pricing, availability and seasonality. Review the pattern after 90 days and choose your next task. Keep customer names and contact details out of the worksheet.

Complete your Google Business Profile
45 min
This free listing shows your hours, reviews and phone number when someone nearby searches for a chiropractor. A patient in pain picks from the first few listings that look open and trusted.
- Go to business.google.com, open your profile and select Edit profile.
- Set "Chiropractor" as the primary category. Add another category only for a real, separate service, such as licensed massage therapy on staff.
- Use the clinic name exactly as it appears on your sign. Do not add "Back Pain Relief" or "Sciatica Doctor" to the name, because Google can suspend the profile.
- Enter your real hours, including early morning or evening slots, and add Special hours for holidays.
- If you take walk-ins, say so in the description and on your website. "Walk in chiropractor near me" is searched about 14,800 times a month.
- Upload at least 10 real photos: the building, parking, front desk, treatment rooms and each doctor.
Send a review request after every visit
30 min
Most people choose a chiropractor by reading recent reviews. A text sent after the visit to every patient keeps you inside Google's rules and the FTC's.
- In your Business Profile, select Read Reviews, then Get more reviews, and copy your review link.
- Load the review request text from this page into your texting or reminder system.
- Send it to every patient after a visit, not only the ones who seemed happy. Google bans asking only satisfied patients.
- Do not hand patients a tablet to review you before they leave. Google does not allow pressure to review while the customer is on the premises.
- Never offer a free adjustment, a discount or a gift card for a review. Google bans it, and the 2024 FTC rule bans rewards tied to a positive review.
Reply to reviews without sharing patient details
40 min
Prospective patients read your replies. A reply that mentions someone's visits, care plan or bill can break HIPAA, even if the patient posted those details first.
- Pick one person to answer reviews and give them the reply template from this page.
- For good reviews, say thank you and stop. Do not write "Glad your sciatica is better."
- For bad reviews, do not confirm the person is a patient, do not explain the care and do not use their name. Ask them to call the office.
- If a review is fake or from someone who never came in, flag it in Google instead of arguing in public.
Post your prices and insurance facts
45 min
People search "how much does a chiropractor cost" and "does medicare cover chiropractic" thousands of times a month. A clear answer on your site wins the call that a vague "call us for pricing" loses.
- Create a page called "Prices and insurance" with your cash price for a first visit, a follow-up visit and any X-rays.
- List every insurance plan you are in network with by name.
- Explain Medicare in one short paragraph. Part B covers spinal adjustments to correct a subluxation, and does not cover X-rays, massage or acupuncture that a chiropractor orders.
- If you treat car accident or work injury patients, say how billing works for those cases.
- Link the page from your homepage and your Google Business Profile.
Remove health claims you cannot prove
1 hour
The FTC has sent warning letters to chiropractic clinics, including one in February 2021, over claims that adjustments protect against COVID-19 or strengthen the immune system. The FTC requires competent and reliable scientific evidence for any health claim.
- Search your website and your last year of social posts for words like "immune", "cure", "prevent", "COVID", "ear infection" and "colic".
- Delete or rewrite any claim you cannot back with good human studies.
- Describe what you actually treat in plain words, such as low back pain, neck pain and headaches that start in the neck.
- Say when you refer patients to a medical doctor or physical therapist. It builds trust with patients and with Google.
Your 90-day SEO plan for chiropractors
After the first week, work through one phase at a time. Most businesses see their Google Business Profile move first and their website pages later.
Weeks 1 to 2
Make every listing match
Your clinic name, address, phone number and hours are the same on every site that patients and AI tools read.
- Finish the five first-week tasks above.
- Claim your free Healthgrades profile and your Yelp page, and fix any wrong address, phone or hours.
- If you are an ACA member, add your clinic to the ACA Find a Doctor directory.
- Claim Bing Places and Apple Business Connect, which control how you show in Bing and Apple Maps.
- Give each chiropractor who sees patients their own Google profile if they want one, named with only their name and title, such as "Dr. Sam Lee, DC".
Weeks 3 to 4
Build one page per condition and service
Each problem patients search for has its own honest page that explains what you do and what it costs.
- Write pages for your main conditions, for example low back pain, neck pain, sciatica and headaches.
- Write pages for services patients search by name, such as spinal decompression, sports injuries or prenatal care, but only if you are trained and equipped for them.
- On each page, explain the first visit, what treatment looks like, the usual number of visits and when you refer out.
- Add a bio page for each doctor with school, license state, years in practice and any certifications.
- Have the treating doctor review each page, then add their name and the review date at the top.
Month 2
Answer the questions patients search
Your site answers the cost, coverage and comparison questions people type before they book.
- Publish four posts from the blog ideas below, starting with cost and Medicare coverage.
- Add a short FAQ block to each condition page using questions patients ask at the first visit.
- Ask physical therapists, massage therapists, gyms and running clubs you already work with to link to your site.
- Add a Google post to your Business Profile every week, such as open appointment times or a new service.
Month 3
Check what works and fix the gaps
You know which pages and listings bring new patients, and you fix the weak ones.
- In your Business Profile, compare this month's calls, website clicks and direction requests with the month before.
- Set up Google Search Console and look at which searches already show your pages.
- Rewrite the title and first paragraph of any page that shows up in searches but gets few clicks.
- Ask every new patient how they found you, and record the answer in your practice software.
- Count new reviews this month. If the number dropped, check that the text goes out after every visit.

No time to write them?
Aranx finds the searches your customers make, writes posts like these in your voice with images and links, and publishes them to your WordPress or Shopify blog on a schedule you set.
See how Aranx worksHow to show up in ChatGPT and Google AI answers
People with back pain now ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews questions like "Should I see a chiropractor or a physical therapist for sciatica?" or "Which chiropractors near me take Medicare and have evening hours?" The first question gets a general health answer. The second names real clinics, and a tool can only name you if it finds those facts about you.
Write those facts on your own site in plain sentences: the conditions you treat, your prices, the insurance you take, your hours, whether you accept walk-ins and when you refer out. Put the same facts on your Google Business Profile, Healthgrades and Yelp. When sites disagree about your hours or phone number, an AI tool may skip you or repeat the wrong detail.
Google treats health topics as "Your Money or Your Life" content and gives more weight to pages that show who wrote them and why they can be trusted. Put the treating doctor's name, degree and review date on every condition page, and keep claims to what studies support.

5 SEO mistakes chiropractors make
Health claims you cannot prove
Claims that adjustments strengthen immunity or prevent illness drew FTC warning letters to chiropractic clinics during the pandemic. Describe the conditions you treat and what the research supports.
Confirming a reviewer is your patient
A reply like "Sorry your neck still hurts after six visits" discloses health information. Thank people for good reviews and move hard ones to a phone call without naming any care.
Asking for reviews on a tablet at checkout
Google does not allow pressure to leave a review while the customer is on the premises. Send a text with your review link after the visit instead.
Adding keywords to the Google business name
A name like "Smith Chiropractic Back Pain and Sciatica Relief" breaks Google's rules and can get the profile suspended. Use the name on your sign.
"Call for pricing" on every page
Cost and coverage questions are among the most searched chiropractic topics. List your cash prices, your insurance plans and how Medicare works so the patient can decide before calling.
Questions chiropractors ask about SEO
How long does SEO take for a chiropractor?
Fixes to your Google Business Profile, such as the category, hours and photos, can change how often you show in the map within a few weeks. New condition pages and blog posts usually take three to six months to bring steady visits, and longer in cities with many clinics. Reviews add up over time, so a clinic that collects a few every week has a big lead after six months.
Should I pay for Google Ads or work on SEO?
Ads put you on top today, but you pay for every click, and "chiropractor near me" averages about $9.93 per click in the US. SEO takes months but keeps working without a cost per click. Many clinics run a small ad budget for their busiest services while they build reviews and pages, then lower the budget as free listings bring more calls.
Can I reply to a bad review without breaking HIPAA?
Yes, if the reply says nothing about the person's care or whether they are a patient. Thank them, say that privacy rules keep you from discussing details in public and give a phone number for the office manager. HIPAA covers clinics that bill health plans electronically, which includes most chiropractic offices that take insurance. Cash-only clinics still face state privacy laws and board rules.
Can I give a free adjustment to patients who leave a review?
No. Google bans discounts, free services or gifts for reviews, even if you do not ask for a positive review, and can remove reviews or restrict your profile. The FTC rule on reviews from 2024 also bans rewards tied to a positive review. Ask every patient the same way, with no reward, and accept what they write.
Should each chiropractor in my clinic have a Google profile?
Google allows a separate profile for each public-facing practitioner, on top of the clinic profile. It helps patients who search a doctor by name. Name the profile with only the doctor's name and title. If a doctor leaves, update or close their profile so it does not keep sending calls for someone who no longer works there.
Do I need a blog?
You need answers more than a blog. People search "what does a chiropractor do" about 8,100 times a month and "does medicare cover chiropractic" about 4,400 times. A short, honest page that answers one question with your prices and a doctor's name on it can bring patients for years. Two useful posts a month beat ten generic ones.
Can I post patient testimonials on my website?
Only with the patient's signed written permission, because their story is health information. Post their words as written and do not pick a story that promises a result most patients will not get. The FTC rule from 2024 bans testimonials that misrepresent the person's real experience. Check your state chiropractic board rules too, since your state may add its own limits.
